Young professionals in power electronics may continue to make efforts in this area in the next 20 to 30 years. Will power electronics have a bright future? What are the trends in power electronics in the coming decades? These may be two of the most raised questions for young professionals. This webinar will firstly share the perspectives of the presenter to have a brief review on the historic development of power electronics and to look forward to the future trends. Secondly, the webinar will discuss one of the future research topics, towards more reliable power electronics beyond efficiency and power density. The challenges and opportunities in this topic and a few examples will also be given.
