Abstract - Recent trends in power electronics are driving the need to revisit design tools and capabilities. Wide bandgap technologies have been demonstrated to hold great promise for achieving higher efficiencies, increased volumetric density, and provide system level cost benefits relating to thermal management. However, the faster switching devices and circuits tend to generate more EMI that can disrupt surrounding components, not to mention adversely impacting their own controls to such a degree that failures can be induced.
